As you can see my dogs dont do that well on the regular conformation shows as they are bred according to the original breeding standard from 1935. It needs a mentioning that the most important change in the breeding standards has been, that they have dropped the maximum dogs height with 2 inches without dropping the maximum weight accordingly, thus creating a more heavy set dog with more physical limits. With that in mind I try to visit a regular show with my dogs once a year just to show some variety. There are some things wich are worrying for the future if you think about it, for instance look at Djago her report from Zeelandhallen, it says she has a long muzzle when infact a staffordshire muzzle should be aprox. half of the skull length and with that in mind Djago her muzzle is on the edge of being short. That is just another confirmation for me to not put to much weight on the conformation show judgements.
